How to setup your Orbi WiFi System?

  • Download and launch the NETGEAR Orbi app from orbi-app.com.
  • Upon first starting the app, you will be prompted to establish a NETGEAR account. You may use your NETGEAR account to register NETGEAR products, post to the NETGEAR Community, and receive email support and product offers.
  • After logging up, click GET STARTED!

    • If the LED remains solid blue for 90-180 seconds, your router and satellite correctly synchronize.

Using the sync button, manually sync your router and satellite:

  1. Keep your RBS10 satellite close to your Orbi router.
  2. Check that your satellite is turned on.
  3. The front PowerPower LED of your Orbi satellite illuminates. If the Power LED bulb does not light up, ensure that the power adapter is correctly plugged in.
  4. Wait for the white LED on the satellite to pulse.
  5. On the back of your RBR10 router, press the Sync button.
  6. Now, press the Sync button on the rear of your RBS10 satellite within two minutes.
  7. When you push the Sync button, the following LEDs on your Orbi satellite light up:
    • Solid amber: If the LED is solid amber for 90-180 seconds, your router and satellite failed to sync. We recommend placing your Orbi router and satellite closer to each other.
    • Solid blue: If the LED is solid blue for 90-180 seconds, your router and satellite successfully synchronize.
